After the hot springs, after dinner, after the sightseeing — this is where Hitoyoshi's night begins.
Our Story
Hitoyoshi is a quiet castle town deep in southern Kumamoto, known for onsen and the 500-year rice-shochu tradition that grew along the Kuma River. Most cafés close by early evening. YORU. opens exactly when they close.
We pair Basque cheesecake, seasonal parfaits, and craft cocktails with every one of the 27 Kuma Shochu distilleries. Before opening, our founder visited each distillery and asked a single question: "How do you want this one to be drunk?" The answers — straight, on the rocks, warm, soda, or with a specific dessert — became our serving guide.
Solo travelers, couples, and non-drinkers are all equally at home at the counter.
